Founded in January 2021, the Innocence Center of Nevada was established to address post-conviction claims of innocence in our state.  

Currently, these cases are handled by the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center (“RMIC”), located over 400 miles away in Salt Lake City, Utah. Claims of innocence originating in Nevada account for 57% of the RMIC’s case log, resulting in logistical inefficiencies.

Our ability to provide this assistance to our citizens relies upon the successful creation of a 501(c)(3) organization.  This can take up to a year.  Therefore, financial support from dedicated individuals like you are key to our survival.
